As parents grappling with life in the era of coronavirus ourselves, we know how hard it feels to get through these days—let alone what the next weeks and months will bring. Every day, we’ll share a few great things that are helping us cope with kids at home, work to do, and plenty to worry about. We hope they help you, too.

When stress is weighing on parents, it can be harder to model gratitude for our kids. Try a "gratitude circle" at dinner: Go around the table and take turns talking about the various people who were generous and kind to each of you—and how it affected you. (Another variant: a family appreciation journal, where each person makes a daily note of something they appreciated today.)

Yes, it’s a crazy time to be a parent. But our co-workers and friends without kids (and/or partners) are having their own challenging experiences right now. How can we better support them, too?

Here’s yet another exciting adventure your family can take from home: a visit to the Grand Canyon.
