When stress is weighing on parents, it can be harder to model gratitude for our kids. Try a "gratitude circle" at dinner: Go around the table and take turns talking about the various people who were generous and kind to each of you—and how it affected you. (Another variant: a family appreciation journal, where each person makes a daily note of something they appreciated today.)
